We are all in a race to “digitize” and sometimes in a race to use as many buzzwords as possible – predictive analytics, IoT, Industry 4.0.. and the list goes on…  We all acknowledge it is a major disruptor driven by macro changes, customer expectations, rapid rate of technology changes, and globalization. There is a fundamental shift in supply chain function – moving from a linear supply chain to a digital driven value network. This transformation is accelerated through “digitization”. Open question we are all grappling is how to drive our own digitization journeys in full gear and more importantly for what purpose? Is it going to improve our service levels, our speed of execution, our competitive cost? If we agree that those are our application objectives,  then what is slowing us down the roadblocks – the legacy systems, data graveyards, management focused on power points (qualitative decisions), and the age old change management aspects. The presentation focuses on a digital transformation that will address these questions… Why digitize? How to measure success? How to organize the transformation? What technologies to focus? How to handle the data? How to execute to deliver the promised value?
