An instrumental player in Amazon’s transition to robotics, Rob Hahn is a respected expert in fulfillment workflow, material handling equipment and automation decisions within the logistics industry. As Whitebox’s current COO, Rob has grown the company’s operations from just 5,000 square feet to three warehouse locations across the U.S., totaling almost 1 million square feet. He’s incorporated automation within Whitebox’s operations and implemented the company’s first robot this past year. Rob joins us to discuss his experience in introducing robotics to warehouse floors, educate us on the different needs that drive the decision point between robotics versus automation, and offer advice on solving future fulfillment complexities with technology.

About the Speaker

Rob Hahn, COO, Whitebox

Rob began his career as an undergraduate intern at Amazon in 2010 and went on to become the youngest executive in Amazon Operations history before joining the Whitebox team in 2018. He has led teams of thousands of employees in multiple 1M+ square foot Amazon Fulfillment Centers. Rob specialized in operational excellence, focusing on cost reduction and scaling operations to become sustainable, world-class entities in a short period of time. His technical proficiencies allowed him to be an instrumental part of the transition into Amazon Robotics and become involved in network-level decisions on workflow, material handling equipment, and automation decisions within Amazon Operations, leading to 10s of millions of dollars of annualized savings. At Whitebox, Rob leads many teams and functions, ranging from Whitebox's Fulfillment organization to its Technology and Product departments. He is primarily focused on scaling the company's operations team while formalizing and expanding its product offering. Rob graduated from Huntington University with a B.S. in Business Management and Entrepreneurship.
